The Chew Chew offers upscale, delicious cuisine in Riverside, IL, a quaint village designed by Frederick Law Olmsted in the late 1860s. The village was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970, and the Chew Chew offers diners the chance to experience this amazing community while enjoying incredible food. In fact, the restaurant sits just 1/2 block from the Riverside stop on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe line - a quick 20 minute ride from Union Station in Chicago!
The Chew Chew recently moved after a complete renovation of their new location. Chef/Owner Scott Zimmer has re-opened the popular eatery two-blocks from the previous location. The new location features multi-level dining, a large bar/lounge, new menu and an expanded beer and wine list. With a wall of floor to ceiling windows, diners can even enjoy al fresco dining while still sitting inside.
With a nod to old-time, upscale rail travel, the Chew Chew mixes a modern design with historical accents evident in the photos and antique rail menus featured in the bar area.
